I am happily married and have two grown children and four grandchildren. My wife and I are both native Dallasites and my first career spanned 41 years serving the Dallas community.
Ten years ago I became involved with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice’s Victim Offender Mediation Program, and it sparked my interest in psychology and counseling. This was just after graduating from Southern Methodist University with a Master’s degree in Liberal Arts, and receiving my Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Dispute Resolution. I realized then that I wasn’t ready to retire and that I would be happier taking advantage of my years of experience in working with people to help them manage life’s challenges. Back to graduate school I went to complete my Master’s in Community Counseling. Once I had my permanent license I was invited to join a private practice with two accomplished mental health clinicians.
