Seeking counseling?

Seeking counseling can be a very difficult decision for someone to make. When a client walks into a counselor’s office it should be understood the therapy has probably already begun. It is my desire to make sure that message is relayed as soon as possible. This would be considered positive reinforcement that can be so important for the client in search for answers or maybe to promote the beginning of a healing process. I offer the opening message on my home page for this very reason. It’s an opportunity to offer positive reinforcement for anyone considering seeking counseling.

In search of your quality world?

Life is difficult. This is a great truth, one of the greatest truths. It is a great truth because once we truly see this truth, we can transcend it. Once we truly know that life is difficult-once we truly understand and accept it-then life is no longer difficult. Because once it is accepted, the fact that life is difficult no longer matters. As Peck so aptly writes in his best seller, The Road Less Traveled, life is difficult, but that doesn’t mean we have to face these difficulties alone. The decision to seek counseling can be scary but at the same time very liberating; once you finally realize you just need a little help! My approach to counseling is strength based, present and future oriented. I utilize a collaborative participatory style of counseling which holds to the philosophy behind my motto:

-Helping Others Resolve Their Problems-
